Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and Accounts

• You must provide accurate account information and keep it updated.
• You are responsible for protecting your credentials and account activity.
• Accounts may be suspended or deactivated for policy or security violations.

2. Platform Use

• Use the platform only for lawful educational and related administrative purposes.
• Do not misuse, reverse engineer, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access.
• Do not upload harmful, infringing, or unlawful content.

3. Educational and AI Features

The platform may provide AI-assisted recommendations, summaries, and learning support. AI output may be probabilistic and should be reviewed by users, educators, or guardians as appropriate.

4. Ambiful School (School Portal and Mobile App)

4.1 Your school's account

• Ambiful School is provided to schools. Your account is created and managed by your school; there is no public sign-up.
• A school's use of the Service is also governed by its agreement with us. If that agreement conflicts with these Terms, the agreement applies to the school.
• Your school decides who has access and what each role can see. Your access may end if your school removes you or stops using the Service.
• A parent or guardian is responsible for how a child uses the Service through the parent's account or a device the parent provides.

4.2 Content you post

• You are responsible for what you post, including photos, messages, notices, homework, comments and attachments. Post only content you have the right to share and that is appropriate for a school community.
• Staff should post photos of children only where the school has the permissions it needs to do so.
• Do not post content that is abusive, harassing, discriminatory, sexual, violent, misleading, or that shares someone's personal information without a valid reason.
• You keep ownership of your content. You allow us to store, process and display it only to operate the Service for your school.
• Reporting and removal: if you see content or behaviour that is inappropriate, tell your school or email support@ambiful.com. Parents can also report a class photo from within the app. Your school can remove content and suspend accounts, and we may remove content or restrict accounts that break these Terms.

4.3 Fees and payments

• School fees are set by your school. Paying through the Service is an arrangement between you and your school.
• Payments are processed by Razorpay, normally into the school's own account, and are subject to Razorpay's terms. We do not store your card or UPI details.
• Questions about amounts, discounts, refunds or late fees should be raised with your school.
• The Ambiful School app is free to download and does not sell digital content or in-app purchases.

4.4 Optional and AI features

• Some features, such as face recognition for class photos, are available only when your school turns them on and, where required, with parental consent.
• AI-assisted features (for example suggested report-card comments or lesson plans) are aids for staff and should be reviewed before use. They do not decide marks, grades or other outcomes.
• Automatic wellbeing flags help staff notice when a student may need support. They are not a medical or professional assessment and may miss things. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.

4.5 The mobile app

• If you download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, their terms also apply. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app, its content, or support.
• Keep the app and your device up to date, and use Face ID, fingerprint or a device passcode to protect access.
• Notifications depend on your device settings and network. Do not rely on them alone for urgent or safety-critical information.

5. Privacy

Use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy at https://ambiful.com/privacy-policy, including Section 15 for Ambiful School.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including software, branding, and content provided by us, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works except as expressly permitted.

7. Third-Party Services

We may integrate third-party services for hosting, payments (Razorpay), messaging and notifications, analytics, and AI. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, legal requirements, or security risks. Users may stop using the Service at any time. For Ambiful School, access also ends when your school removes your account or stops using the Service; what happens to school records is covered by the school's agreement with us and our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
